About:
Carle Place Middle School/High School’s newest student organization, the Builders Club, has been active this holiday season by volunteering at the Mary Brennan INN in Hempstead.
Under the direction of Ms. Vasilakopoulos, the students organized the soup kitchen’s shelves, sorted donated clothes and created toiletry kits that included wrapping shampoos, body washes, toothpaste and toothbrushes into towels so that guests could quickly and easily grab them.
The Builders Club emphasized the importance of helping the community all year, but especially during the season of giving.
